Amplify Philly is a 3-day event at South by Southwest. It brings the best of Philly’s diverse business, culture, and tech communities into the international spotlight. The goal is to attract the best talent, clients, and consumers to live, work, and play in Philadelphia. Since 2016, Amplify Philly has represented Philadelphia through exhibitions, concerts, panels, and other interactive activities.
The branding for this event was derived from Philadelphia’s flag (Yes, Philly has its own flag!) that and the logo that represent the interconnectedness of Philadelphia industries. We were tasked with making a 10ft x 8ft banner that wouldact as the centerpiece for the space and the backdrop for photo moments. We created a graphic that showcased many of Philadelphia’s icons and legends - from Joel Embiid to Jill Scott, The Roots to Tasty Kakes.
We spearheaded a comprehensive four-phase digital rollout to ensure a triumphant return to their premier event, “Amplify Philly House,” at SXSW 2023. This multifaceted approach aimed at positioning Amplify Philly as a standout presence at the event while extending the brand’s reach and impact beyond the confines of the event itself. The strategy encompassed several key components, including promoting the Amplify Philly House pop-up activation, enhancing engagement and showcasing sponsors and their deliverables, capturing compelling live event content and testimonials to bolster social proof, and implementing an evergreen content strategy to sustain brand visibility beyond the event promotion period. Through meticulous planning and execution, our digital initiatives played a pivotal role in maximizing Amplify Philly’s presence and influence at SXSW 2023, while also establishing a framework for sustained brand growth and relevance in the digital landscape.
