Background

Black Music City awards annual grants designed to encourage artistic expression and heighten recognition for new artistic works by Philadelphia-area Black creatives that honor Philadelphia’s rich Black music heritage.

Branding

To honor the company’s core mission of creating honest and authentic content, we employed a no frills color palette with soft and warm accents. We used a font system that was clear and easy to read, with a font weight strong enough to hold its own.
